Rank is purely your bid

There are no reserved spots. Your position on the board is just where your current bid sorts among everyone else's. Bid higher, rank higher — nothing else moves.

You can never touch someone else's listing

Every listing belongs to whoever's verified email created it. Only that email — proven by clicking a magic link sent to it, never a password — can raise its bid. Trying to bid on an identifier someone else already owns is rejected outright.

Pricing

New listing: minimum bid of $5.
Raising your own listing: minimum $1 increase, and you're only charged the difference between your old bid and your new one.
"Claim this rank for $X" on someone else's row means: that's the bid a brand-new listing of yours would need to rank just above them — $5 over their current bid.

Ties go to whoever got there first

If two listings ever land on the exact same bid, the one that's been at that bid longer stays ranked above. A challenger has to strictly outbid, not just match.

What's not allowed

Link shorteners and chat-app invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord invites) can't be submitted — the destination has to be the real thing. Tracking parameters (?ref=...) are stripped automatically so the same page can't be listed twice under different query strings.

Payments

All charges go through Stripe. Your bid only takes effect once Stripe confirms the payment — nothing is ever marked paid based on what a browser reports. If a race condition ever causes a payment to land against a bid that's already been superseded, it's automatically refunded rather than corrupting the board.

Clicks

Click counts are for signal, not vanity — one click per visitor per listing counts per day, so repeated refreshing or self-clicking doesn't inflate the number.
